You can roll without an account

The home page says to sign up before rolling if you want the roll saved and a spot on the leaderboard. The Generate button is still there for a signed-out visit. If a roll matters to you, sign in first. I have not found a way, on the official pages, to attach a guest roll after the fact.

Username and display name

The changelog for 21 September 2026 mentions display-name color inside Settings, next to theme, favorite badges, signing out, and account deletion. I did not find a written rule for which characters a display name may use, so I am not inventing one. If the name field rejects an edit, the Settings page is the place that can answer it, not a guide that guesses.

A search blurb that says Discord is the login conflicts with the dialog and the privacy page. I am following the pages on rngdle.com. Discord is the community invite linked from the about page, which is a different button.

What I checked myself

I opened the sign-in control on the home page instead of trusting a search summary that said Discord was the login. The dialog is email-only. The privacy page matches it: the address is used for the magic link, stored as an HMAC-SHA256 hash, and the link expires in five minutes. The same page says the site stores a display name, roll history, and a hash of IP and user agent. It says there are no third-party cookies, no ads, and no sale of data. Account deletion is on the Settings page and is immediate and irreversible.
